cPanel provides a lot of features to its customers. Here is a brief guide about the cPanel’s advanced functionality.

Log in to cPanel and scroll down the section “Logs”. Using this section, you can perform many functions directly. Let’s discuss them one by one.


First is the “Latest Visitors”. Here you can get information about the last 300 visitors that visited your site. Not only that, you can collect further information from here by clicking on the search lens icon under View. You can get information about the visitor’s IP address, the time and the date of the visitor, the HTTP version, the referrer and the browser used by the visitor.

The bandwidth sections allows you to view the bandwidth used by your site and allows you to monitor the heaviest traffic period of the day. Using this, you can decide if would require more bandwidth for the future or not. The bar graph also indicates several categories of bandwidth information such as sending and receiving email, web traffic, file transfer and so on.

The next in the list is Webalizer, which is a complex statistical analysis program, creates graphs and charts about the visitors of your site. It is a series of bar graphs displaying by month or by day about the visits, files, pages, hits, and kilobytes.

Webalizer FTP displays the information about the use of FTP site. The information showed here is in graph divided into daily and monthly average.

AWStats displays information in graph (hourly, daily and monthly) about the people who are accessing your site. It provides details about your visitors such as the browser they are using to access your site including their operating system and referrers and HTTP error codes if any.

Raw Access Logs displays information about the contents of your site that your visitors have accessed. To configure the logs, click the “Save” button as shown in the screenshot above. To download the logs, click on the desired domain name for which you want the logs under the “Download” and the file will be automatically downloaded to your desktop/laptop. You can open it with any text editor.

Analog Stats displays information about the visitors of your website divided into months for easier analysis and interpretation. The information is also displayed in graphs and categories.

Error Log is a useful feature for finding the last 300 errors that may have occurred to your site. Using this tool, you can find broken links and find if there are any errors in your site’s pages or scripts.
